Although its unarguably one of, if not the most, popular tracks of his, Eric Prydz never plays ‘Call On Me,’ but last night in Austin he proved that you should never say never.

Everyone knows the melody, the iconic music video to go with it, but Eric Prydz seems to prefer to pretend ‘Call On Me‘ doesn’t exist. That is, until very recently. In a surprising turn of events, he decided to play it out at his ’20 Years Of Pryda’ concert at The Concourse Project in Austin, Texas.

The last (known) time that the iconic track was played out by Prydz himself was way back in 2004 in Ibiza, and has seemingly put it to rest to the point where no one could have ever anticipated that he would play it ever again. Teasing the crowds and mixing it in with Steve Winwood‘s ‘Valerie,’ which the track takes it sample from, the crowd understandably whipped out their phones to capture this truly historic moment. Although he stopped playing it to ‘distance himself’ from it in a bid to not be known as a one hit wonder (which by all means did not happen), the ’20 Years Of Pryda’ event was a more than suitable place to revive the classic, if only for one night.

Watch the video of the epic moment below, and check out the tracklist from the set here.
