Home Events GRiZ Is Returning To Music Nearly Two Years After Hiatus

Two years after GRiZ announced his indefinite hiatus, he took to his socials this past Tuesday to make an unexpected announcement.

In June of 2023, in the middle of his slew of tours, GRiZ (real name Grant Kwiecinski) posted on Instagram to announce that he would be taking a break from touring. At the time, he assured his fans he would still be creating music, but rather opted for a pause from touring.  “I’m following my gut instincts so for now, I’m not going to put a hard time limit length on the break”, reads the post.

Coming up on nearly two years since this announcement, GRiZ took to Instagram to post a short video of him driving a trailer complete with barrels of hay somewhere in rural America with the caption ‘WE ARE SO BACK!’. The post concludes with the dates 10/10/25-10/12/25, which some fans are speculating to be a potential festival. Along with the post, fans are encouraged to enter their phone number to receive direct announcements via GRiZ for whatever he’s got going on in the works.

While nothing has been formally announced, there is an additional piece to the puzzle. A new website has launched titled ‘Seven Stars General Store’ with peculiar items in their ‘store’, along with a cryptic ‘About Us’ section that reads, “Welcome to the Seven Stars General Store, your friendly spot for all things practical and a little bit peculiar, where the ordinary meets the extraordinary. We’re more than just your average country store; we’re a cosmic crossroads, a place to stop and rest your hat, where you can restock on supplies and maybe find something you didn’t even know you needed.”

Whatever this may be, we are excited to have GRiZ back from hiatus and can’t wait to see what he’s been working on.
