Joseph Capriati delivers two disc mix for ‘GU47: Montreal’ for Global Underground City Series: Listen
Joining a long list of storied producers who delivered mixes for the Global Underground City Series, the project has tapped Joseph Capriati for its latest edition. Comprised of two discs worth of music, the collection is set against the incredible backdrop of Montreal.
Having spent the last two decades on the road, bringing infectious house and techno tracks to fans worldwide, Joseph Capriati is certainly worthy of an entry in the esteemed Global Underground City Series. Spanning two discs and running for 2 hours and 45 minutes, Capriati delivers a wide blend of sounds while never letting the energy leave the collection. Andy Horsefield, the founder of the Global Underground, describes his excitement over the mix: “As one of electronic music’s most in demand headliners, Joseph Capriati’s impact on modern dance music is undeniable. From his legendary sets at Amnesia, to his cutting-edge remixes for dance music legends such as Adam Beyer to Carl Cox, Joseph Capriati is a perfect fit for the next GU City Series. We are proud to bring you GU47 Montreal, a musical masterclass.”
Available now across all streaming platforms, John Capriati’s GU47: Montreal, fans can also grab the collection on vinyl or CD as well. Split across the two discs, mix one is considered the ‘Bright Disc’ and shows off more of the producer’s house roots. Meanwhile, Disc 2 is known as the ‘Obscure Disc’ and dives more into his ‘Metamorfosi’ or techno-driven impulses. Featuring tracks from Indira Paganotto, Len Faki, Julieta Kopp, and Oscar Mulero, as well as his own, it creates a stark yet exciting contrast to the first disc.
