Röyksopp deliver stunning ‘Running To The Sea (True Electric)’ release: Listen

The incredible duo Röyksopp is continuing to deliver singles from their upcoming new album. With their latest single release, they deliver a driving reimagination of a classic track from over a decade ago.

In 2023, Röyksopp embarked on their True Electric tour, delivering fresh remixes and edits of many of their classic tracks. The tour proved very popular, and fans clamored for the updated editions that they heard throughout the trek. Now, the Norwegian duo is working to share these updated productions with fans via their upcoming True Electric album. While the album isn’t due out until mid-April, the group has been releasing singles along the way to build up excitement and hype for the project. Now fans can experience their update Susanne Sundfør collaboration, Running To The Sea.

Much like previously released tracks from the project, Röyksopp has once again looked to completely reimagine the original, moving away from the subtle chords and atmosphere to provide a high-energy house production that certainly feels more at home when the duo hit clubs and festivals around the world. While Sundfør’s exquisite vocal performance is front and center on the original, the producers instead opt for the extended instrumental intro, letting the pulsing rhythms drive the track. When Sundfør does appear, the producers clear out space for her as she sings over lush pads before quickly reintroducing more driving elements,

With the True Electric set to release on April 11th, Running To The Sea showcases another strong reinterpretation of a classic Röyksopp track.
