Shane Crowl, ODESZA’s former production manager, has passed away
Shane Crowl, ODESZA’s key influence and true force behind live music production shows, has suddenly passed away, leaving artists in shock.
Shane Crowl, a lead production director in the electronic dance music space for many suddenly passed away on March 4th, 2025.
Shane Crowl is one of the most influential and inspiring live music production directors, from helping big superstar artists Mariah Carey, Tiësto, A$AP Rocky, and most importantly ODESZA, he made their creative vision come to life.
ODESZA spoke out about Shane’s passing on Instagram, and involvement from the very beginning since the ‘A Moment Apart‘ tour in 2017. ODESZA say, “Since 2017 we had the immense pleasure of working with Shane to bring our live show to life. He was our production director for every show since the AMA tour, but much more importantly, he was a kind and compassionate friend, a true force, and leader who taught and shared so much with us. Shane was, and will forever be, a massive part of ODESZA. We love you Shane, thank you for everything, we will remember you always, and miss you forever.”
MusiCares organization has started a fundraiser in regards to the passing of Shane Crowl, to help and support his family, friends, and colleagues. Our deepest condolences are with his family and friends.
