Sónar Istanbul returns this May at the Zorlu Performing Arts Center

Returning this May to the Zorlu Performing Arts Center, Sónar Istanbul has just announced the first 21 names from its immersive lineup, with the event gearing up for its biggest edition to date.

Returning for yet another illustrious edition of the Sónar Festival in Türkiye, Sónar Istanbul will be taking place on May 9th and 10th, 2025, at the Zorlu Performing Arts Center (Zorlu PSM). Leading the way in music, creativity and technology, Sónar Festival was first founded in Barcelona back in 1994, and ever since, it has expanded its to reach all over the globe, with a vast array of cities taking over the from the flagship event, and in turn, hosting their very own. Falling right into that category, Sónar Istanbul first took place in 2017, with this upcoming edition set to be one for the books once again.

Bringing in their own words “pioneers and legends, innovators and modern icons” together, Sónar Istanbul has just announced the second wave of artistsfrom what is set to be yet another groundbreaking lineup, with the likes of The Chemical Brothers, Modeselektor, ¥ØU$UK€ ¥UK1MAT$U and Richie Hawtin taking centre stage amongst international and local acts that will be delivering nothing less than the most scintillating of vibes. Featuring a wide range of up-and-coming producers, mesmersing B2Bs, and true musical pioneers that continue to write their very own Sónar Festival legacies; this lineup, although not yet fully complete, promises to be off the charts, and we of course, are all for it.

Edging ever closer to the 2025 edition of Sónar Istanbul, the event can only further describe itself as “a hub of innovation and inspiration in electronic music,” and if previous editions are anything to go by, we most certianly can attest to to the driven factors that make this one of the greatest European dance music festivals.
