Tiësto announces ‘In Search of Sunrise’ set at EDC Las Vegas

While it has been years since Tiësto focused on trance, fans worldwide always hope he will return to the genre that helped his early rise to fame. Now the legendary DJ has revealed plans to perform a special set that should take fans back to his early career.

With decades of success and millions of streams, Tiësto has long cemented himself as a staple of the electronic music industry. After rising to fame at the turn of the century thanks to his iconic trance productions, he has explored various opportunities within the music industry while continuing to evolve and perform on stages worldwide. Although he has achieved greater commercial success in recent years, fans still love it when he returns to his roots and performs his early trance music. With EDC Las Vegas fast approaching in May, fans may finally get their wish as Tiësto reveals he will play an In Search of Sunrise set.

For those unaware or too young to remember, the In Search of Sunrise series and mixtapes began in 1999 via SongBird, a subsidiary of Black Hole Recordings which Tiësto helped create. From 1999 through 2008, the producer curated the first seven volumes of the collection, only passing it along to Richard Durand in 2010 after he parted ways with Black Hole. With the announcement of his In Search of Sunrise at EDC Las Vegas, fans believe that he will finally dive into his trance roots again and deliver a set reminiscent of the iconic compilation series.
