Home Music Ahmed Spins returns with ‘Waterfall’ featuring Elderbrook: Listen

After a long pause from releasing music, Ahmed Spins makes a striking return with ‘Waterfall’, a new collaboration with Elderbrook that blends restraint with emotional weight. Out now, the track marks only the third official release from the Moroccan DJ and producer, following the streaming success of his ‘Anchor Point’ EP via MoBlack Records, which surpassed 100 million Spotify plays.

Opening with sparse piano chords, ‘Waterfall’ gradually draws listeners in, with Elderbrook’s unmistakable vocals steering the track toward a subtle yet gripping peak. Instead of overwhelming production, the duo leans into minimalism—carefully layered elements build into a release that’s more contemplative than explosive, yet no less affecting.

Importantly, this release coincides with Ahmed Spins’ return to the live stage. As co-founder of the Deep House Bible platform, label, and event series, he recently showcased new material during both weekends of Coachella, performing at the revered Yuma Tent. His reappearance signals a clear shift-fewer tracks, more intention, and a focus on quality over quantity.

In his words, Ahmed Spins describes the project as “a product of patience and passion,” refined across two years. Elderbrook, meanwhile, highlights the lyrical depth, noting how the word “Waterfall” became a metaphor for emotional swings.
