aloïs draws from Renaissance, jazz, and Breda roots in bold solo debut: Watch
During We Rave You’s first-ever conference last November in Breda with TURF, Dutch producer aloïs opened up about the creative journey behind his solo project. Known for his 90s-inspired house sound, the rising talent stepped out from behind the scenes as a ghost producer and now embraces his own artistic path.
“I have a lot of inspiration from the Renaissance,” aloïs shared, reflecting on the foundation of his sound. His music blends the elegance of historical influences with a raw groove shaped by jazz and medieval tones. These textures, layered with classic house rhythms, shape a distinct identity across his growing catalog.
As the conversation unfolded, aloïs credited his hometown of Breda for helping him evolve as an artist. Calling it a “big village,” he praised the local community for its openness and support—whether it’s feedback from fellow producers or guidance from top-tier names. This spirit of collaboration, he noted, played a crucial role in developing his confidence.
Moreover, aloïs pointed to hometown heroes Hardwell and Dannic as early inspirations. Watching “normal guys” from his city break into the global scene gave him the belief that he could do the same.
All in all, his story reflects a blend of old-world charm and modern ambition, fueled by community, shaped by history, and sustained by an unwavering love for house music.
