Avicii Radio honors his legacy with exclusive broadcasts
Avicii Radio will mark seven years since the passing of Avicii with a weekend of specially curated content on April 19-20, available exclusively on the SiriusXM app. The tribute highlights the enduring legacy of the Swedish artist and offers listeners a rare chance to revisit key moments from his career.
To begin with, the programming includes a 2013 interview hosted by Geronimo – SiriusXM’s first-ever EDM Town Hall – where Avicii discusses his debut album True. The segment captures the producer’s mindset during a pivotal moment in his journey, offering insight into the creativity that reshaped electronic music at the time.
Meanwhile, the much-loved LEVELS Mix Takeover returns, featuring a rotation of mixes that reflect the breadth of his influence. These mixes, once a staple for fans, now serve as a reminder of the innovation he brought to dance floors worldwide.
Additionally, exclusive live sets from the archives will stream throughout the weekend. These include recordings from Super Glow Festival in Washington, D.C. (2011), Studio54 (2011), and PACHA New York (2010) – each one capturing the energy of Avicii’s early rise.
Available only through the app, Avicii Radio was launched in collaboration with Vibrant Emotional Health and the Tim Bergling Foundation. The channel not only honors his music but also his legacy, fostering continued awareness and conversation around mental health.
