Charlotte de Witte opens debut album era with ‘The Realm’: Listen

Charlotte de Witte has unveiled “The Realm”, the first single from her forthcoming self-titled debut album, set to arrive on November 7 via her own label, KNTXT. After years of defining the techno landscape, this release marks a pivotal moment in the Belgian producer’s career. Moreover, she’s slated to visit New York from May 21 to 24, with further details expected soon.

Having released 25 EPs and shaped countless dance floors over the past 15 years, de Witte finally opens the door to her long-anticipated first full-length project. The new single, already familiar to fans from her live sets, emerges as a bold opening statement. Built around hard-hitting percussion and razor-sharp acid lines, the track also introduces a spoken mantra — “enter the realm of the unknown” — signaling both a new artistic era and an invitation to step into her world.

Speaking about the release, de Witte described the track as a turning point. “It’s the beginning of something new. This album reflects everything I’ve lived through music,” she shared. According to her, the record captures emotion, movement, and truth — grounded in the energy of the dancefloor.

Meanwhile, the launch follows a triumphant run of shows at Belgium’s Flanders Expo, where she sold over 70,000 tickets in three nights, as well as a spontaneous street party in her hometown. With “The Realm”, she opens not just her album, but a new chapter.
