Armin van Buuren, Pendulum & Rob Swire deliver drum ‘n’ bass banger ‘Sound of You’: Listen

Armin van Buuren and Rob Swire’s original ‘Sound of You’ receive fresh new treatment with the Drum and Bass version from Pendulum.

Armin van Buuren’s initial collaboration with Rob Swire, a member of Knife Party and Pendulum, the icons have premiered a big room EDM festival banger ‘Sound of You‘, which has gathered tremendous hype at Miami Music Week. However, back in 2024 fans at Tomorrowland premiered at the time a VIP drum and bass version which as a surprise has now seen an official release.

Pendulum‘s newest drum and bass version in the style of 4×4 delivers a much more energetic and powerful experience than the original. Euphoric vocal chops drive the intro and builds, while bright, twinkly synths heighten the tension before gritty, aggressive basslines take over the drop sections. Pendulum’s faster-paced version fits perfectly for drives and UK raves—exactly the kind of energy fans crave.

Armin van Buuren and Rob Swire make a strong, high-energy duo. By releasing both versions of the track, they fulfilled a request fans have made since the first live premiere.
