Skrillex sends out new album ‘FUS’ to fans via mailing list
Ever since conquering the electronic music landscape with his early dubstep productions, Skrillex has continued to amaze and memorize with every new move. Following some quick teasing and build-up, he has shared his new project via email.
After moving on from his label Atlantic Records, Skrillex announced that there would be much more music and news from him in the coming year. Up until today, he has shared a few short snippets via his updated email list and just made his return to Ultra Music Festival this past weekend for the first time in a decade. Earlier this evening, the American producer stuck around Miami to host a listening party at 8 pm EST, but it was an invite-only ordeal that did not allow recording devices. Shortly after the event ended, fans were shocked to see a new email from Skrillex containing the new album.
Simply upload to Dropbox, FUS, which seems to be short for F*** You Skrillex, is a 46-and-a-half-minute collection from one of the industry’s most impressive and exciting producers ever. Littered with vocal samples, noises, and a variety of voiceover characters, it is a powerful and driving album that sees him looking for new ways to repackage the genre. Having barely crossed the interwebs and into our inboxes, the team at We Rave You will be digesting the release before delivering a full review in a few hours.
