SOFI TUKKER details Brazilian inspired new album ‘BUTTER’
The musical duo of SOFI TUKKER has no lack of inspiration as they quickly follow up on their 2024 full-length. The group has shared a new single as they reimagine their last album, ‘Bread’, through a Brazilian music lens.
With a busy slate of tour dates keeping the duo on the road well into the second half of 2025, SOFI TUKKER continues to push their momentum forward with the release of the companion piece album, butter. The duo of Sophie Hawley-Weld and Tucker Halpern explores exotic rhythms and melodies as they reimagine the now-familiar melodies and nuances of their most recent release. Thanks to Hawley-Weld’s hypnotic vocals and the hands-on touch of both producers and fellow collaborators, the new release offers an exciting new sound to their repertoire.
Due to officially become available on May 16th of this year, butter is currently available to pre-order on both CD and Vinyl. The first single from the collection will hit streaming services on May 2nd and will be Bread and feature help from Seu Jorge. The announcement also sees the group expanding its audience with a special weekend at the Newport Jazz Festival. Taking place August 1st through 3rd, the duo will perform special “butter” sets to match the vibe of the event.
