Zedd teases special show at Coachella 2025 on Sunday in honor of his 5th time playing

Zedd took to Instagram at the start of the weekend to share his gratitude for being able to play at Coachella throughout the years and teased plans for a very special show when he plays in the desert on Sunday. 

Zedd has been a household name for over 15 years and has played for the largest crowds in the world. He has headlined nearly every festival one could think of and his discography is one of the most rewarded in the entire industry. However, even with all of that, he still sits in awe of being able to play Coachella once again this year and that shows you just how special of a festival Coachella is in the world of live music. At the start of the weekend before the kick-off of the first weekend of Coachella 2025, Zedd took to Instagram to share a heartfelt post that showed a video montage of his evolution through the times he has played the event and described what it means to him as a performer. At the end of the post, he finished by teasing that he will be presenting his most special show yet when he plays Coachella this Sunday. 

Coachella 2025 will mark the 5th year in which Zedd will be playing in the desert. First starting in 2012 at the Sahara Tent, Zedd states he played for approximately 20 in which his name was near the bottom of the lineup. Two years later he played on the same stage but the crowd was much bigger. In 2016 he returned once more but had to play at the Outdoor Theatre (Coachella’s second most prestigious stage) and in 2019 he finally broke through and played a monumental show on the Coachella mainstage with a variation of his ‘Orbit‘ tour setup, where he also brought out multiple star-studded guests. Now as he gears up for his next appearance on Sunday he has teased that he is bringing “[his] best and most special show yet and [his] best self.“ The specifics of this foreshadow are hard to determine but judging from Zedd’s history, you can guarantee a unique visual show along with guest artists and new music that you will not experience anywhere else during his touring season. Even though there is no clear picture yet, when Zedd makes a comment like this, it means something historic is on the way.
