AlphaTheta Launches DJ Flash Drive in Collaboration with SanDisk
After spending over two decades in the music technology space, I’ve seen USB drives evolve from slow, clunky devices to sleek tools that now sit at the heart of many DJ setups. The latest collaboration between SanDisk and AlphaTheta rekordbox—officially dubbed the SanDisk DJ Flash Drive—is a strong example of where things are heading. It’s built with the modern DJ in mind, particularly those using Pioneer DJ™ and AlphaTheta™ gear.
As stated by AlphaTheta, SanDisk’s new drive has been tested and optimized to work seamlessly with Pioneer DJ™ and AlphaTheta™ products, which will be a welcome relief for DJs who’ve dealt with compatibility headaches before a set. It supports both USB-C™ and USB-A, making it a versatile tool whether you’re on your laptop or plugging into a CDJ-3000 on stage.

One of the key highlights of the flash drive is its high-speed performance. SanDisk claims read speeds of up to 1,000MB/s and write speeds of up to 900MB/s, making it capable of transferring up to 34GB of data in under a minute. It also offers storage options of up to 1TB, which is useful for DJs managing large music libraries.
Another thoughtful touch: the drive includes three months of the rekordbox Creative Plan, which is a handy add-on for those who like to prep sets in advance with advanced tagging, cloud syncing, and playlist sharing.
The DJ Flash Drive is now available for purchase on PioneerDJ Store.
