Interscope Records, Pophouse, and the Avicii Estate have released AVICII FOREVER, a carefully assembled 19-track collection that honors the legacy of Tim Bergling. The compilation includes fan favorites such as Wake Me Up, ‘Levels’, and ‘Heart Upon My Sleeve’ featuring Imagine Dragons. Moreover, the project introduces a previously unheard track, ‘Let’s Ride Away’, featuring a stirring vocal performance from Elle King.

Back in 2017, Avicii collaborated with Kacey Musgraves, Luke Laird, and Elle King during a writing session in Nashville. As a result of that session, he created ‘Let’s Ride Away’ – a track that reflects his unique ability to bridge folk and electronic music. Although written years ago, the track now emerges as a fitting addition to his catalog. Elle King’s vocals, supported by the same brass band featured on ‘Fades Away’, bring warmth and raw emotion to the song’s rich production.

Carl Falk, a longtime collaborator and close friend, co-produced the track with Avicii and Luke Laird. He explains, “Tim wasn’t just a unique artist, he was a once-in-a-generation songwriter and producer.” Furthermore, Falk highlights how the song captures Avicii’s signature blend of roots-driven instrumentation with melodic structure, adding, “Releasing it now gives even more people the chance to experience that brilliance – maybe even for the first time.”

Meanwhile, Luke Laird reflects on the creative process behind the track. He remembers how Avicii maintained a balance of openness and artistic direction in the studio. “Tim had that perfect balance of humility and confidence,” Laird says. “Elle delivered an incredible vocal and stayed true to the melody while making it her own.”

To complete the tribute, the team created a visual companion that features a hand-chiseled stone rendering of the Avicii symbol. For this artwork, they selected a stone from Bjärlöv in Skåne – near where Avicii spent his childhood summers. In this way, the visual reinforces the compilation’s theme: music built to last, much like stone.
