Home Featured Brooklyn Mirage opening continues to be delayed

Made famous for delivering the largest LCD screen in North America, the Brooklyn Mirage has become a symbol for electronic music in the northeast. Following a planned overhaul of the establishment, it has run into permit issues, keeping it closed beyond the planned opening date.

On May 1st, 2025, fans from all over were getting ready to head to Brooklyn to witness Sara Landry kick off the 2025 season of the newly remodeled Brooklyn Mirage. Around 6 pm that day, the venue announced that the show would not be happening as the opening was delayed due to a lack of permits from the city. As Sara Landry worked hard to find alternate options to satisfy fans, especially those who had traveled to the region, concerns for the upcoming events at the Brooklyn Mirage circulated throughout the industry.

With fans anxious about when the venue would open and concerned about scheduled shows for the coming days, the team at Avant Gardner, which runs the Brooklyn Mirage, continued to work towards satisfying the concerns of inspectors. Unfortunately, there seems to be no resolution on the near horizon, as shows for this weekend (May 8th-10th) were rescheduled or moved to other venues in the area. Revered as one of the best clubs in the world, the delays at the Brooklyn Mirage are a concern for fans, artists, and promoters who enjoy the massive screens, open-air concept, and were looking forward to the new rebuild.
