David Guetta remakes Europe’s classic ‘The Final Countdown’ with Hypaton: Listen

David Guetta has officially released The Final Countdown 2025, a modern rework of Europe’s 1986 anthem. This time, he brought along frequent collaborator Hypaton and the original band Europe, fusing generations of sound into a single, commanding track.

After teasing the record during his explosive Tomorrowland set last summer, fan demand exploded. Since then, the remix circulated across TikTok, YouTube, and Instagram, gaining millions of plays even before it became available. At Tomorrowland alone, Guetta introduced the track to a sea of 100,000 people, a moment that sparked instant buzz and set the internet ablaze.

The idea started with Hypaton, who shared the concept with Guetta during studio sessions. From there, momentum grew quickly. Crucially, Joey Tempest of Europe helped shape the collaboration, guiding it to completion and bridging the gap between rock legacy and electronic innovation.

Previously, Guetta and Hypaton struck gold with their 2023 single Be My Lover, which racked up over 300 million streams. Their latest effort, however, comes with even higher stakes and unmatched anticipation.

“The response in our live sets has been insane,” Guetta shared. “It felt right to make it official.” With that, The Final Countdown 2025 finally lands—three names, one track, and a wave of global momentum.
