Robin Schulz, NERVO, and KOPPY bring the heat with ‘Freaking You Out’: Listen
Robin Schulz has officially entered his next chapter. Fresh off a high-impact North American tour—with standout stops in New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Toronto – Germany’s most successful solo artist now pivots toward the summer season including a major Pacha Ibiza residency.
This time, he links up with long-time friends and Australian dance duo NERVO, as well as his newly introduced alias KOPPY, for the vibrant new single ‘Freaking You Out’, released May 2 via Warner Music. Together, they deliver a track that reflects a bold step away from Schulz’s chart-driven approach.
Instead, the song leans into a sharper, club-focused edge. With brisk four-on-the-floor percussion, buoyant synth stabs, and sultry vocals layered on top, ‘Freaking You Out’ captures the energy of a peak-time dancefloor. It also marks a rare studio moment between Schulz and NERVO, who have shared a personal connection for years but had yet to release music together.
“Working with NERVO has always felt effortless,” Schulz shared, noting how naturally their styles align. The duo echoed his words, adding, “He’s like a brother. We’ve waited years for this release, and it finally felt right after premiering it at Tomorrowland Winter.”
Altogether, the release arrives with perfect timing, just as festival season begins to build momentum.
