Versace may have ripped off Zeds Dead designs
Beyond the music and exciting live visuals, clothing and designs are a key element to the electronic music scene. A new designer t-shirt appears to have directly borrowed its design from a past Zeds Dead shirt.
With an incredible catalog of dubstep, house, and trap productions released throughout their career, the duo of Zeds Dead has become a staple of the electronic music scene. Their fans are dedicated to their thumping anthems, label Deadbeats, and unique graphics for merchandise. It appears that their designs are so captivating that a major designer brand seems to have borrowed a graphic for its line of clothes.
The brand in question, Versace, has a long history of dominance in the fashion world, with its line of unique designs dating back decades. Of course, the brand is always looking to stay relevant and find inspiration for new generations of shoppers. Fans of Zeds Dead immediately called out the similarity to a past tour design, and when seeing the two side by side, it’s easy to see why. While certain logos have changed, and the producer’s name has been replaced with Versace, the design of letters and placement of items are otherwise nearly identical.
As of this writing, Versace has not responded to the initial post from Zeds Dead accusing them of the theft.
