Armin van Buuren & Indira Paganotto unite on new collab ‘Dragon’: Listen
Just one day before their highly awaited joint set at Sónar Festival, Armin van Buuren and Indira Paganotto unveil their first studio collaboration, ‘Dragon’. Released as a preview of Armin’s forthcoming double album Breathe, the track sets the tone for what could be one of the summer’s most discussed festival moments.
Blending elements from trance, psytrance, and techno, ‘Dragon’ mirrors the energy both artists bring to the stage. From Ultra to Tomorrowland, their individual sets have captivated global audiences. Now, by combining forces, they deliver a track designed to ignite massive stages and cross genre boundaries with conviction.
Reflecting on the collaboration, Armin van Buuren shared that working with Indira felt instinctive. “She’s pushed the psytrance and techno scenes forward in such a powerful way. When she reached out, it just made sense to create something together,” he explained. “‘Dragon’ was made for the big moments.”
Meanwhile, Indira Paganotto described the single as a reflection of unity and power. “‘Dragon’ captures nature, humanity, art, and spirit,” she noted. “We’ve both tested it live, and the energy is always electric.”
‘Dragon’ arrives just ahead of the full release of Breathe, Armin van Buuren’s ambitious two-part album, out June 27. With 51 tracks and contributions from Pendulum, Moby, and Bon Jovi, the project showcases a refreshed creative vision from one of dance music’s most enduring names.
