Debuting his Holosphere 2.0 residency at [UNVRS] Ibiza in the most immersive of manners, Eric Prydz has set the tone of what we can expect, and in doing so, has written history once again.
Kick-starting his Holosphere 2.0 residency at [UNVRS] Ibiza in the most immersive of manners, Eric Prydz has most certainly upped the ante when it comes to the link between electronic music and visuals, making for an experience that is quite simply out of this world. An audiovisual series of events that have been described by the man himself as “the biggest show production ever undertaken in Ibiza,” the Holosphere 2.0 residency commenced for the first time on Monday June 2nd, and will continue every following Monday up until the 1st of September.
A production concept that builds on [CELL] and HOLO, the legendary Swedish DJ and record producer continues to push boundaries at every given chance, and with the brand new club that is [UNVRS] Ibiza opening for the first time on May, 30th, fans alike have now had a taste of what can be expected by this truly groundbreaking venue. A whole new experience unfolding right before our eyes, the White Isle is setting the tone of what future raving has in store, with Holosphere 2.0 presenting a “feature-film’s worth of brand-new original animation, 3D holographic effects and never-before-seen multidimensional layers of custom transparent LED,” always in combination with Prydz’s awe-inspiring and quite frankly scintillating live performances.
A debut event that left no doubt to the imagination, everyone in attendance was in for an absolute treat, with every single aspect of the Holosphere 2.0 residency, set to make the history books from the offset. In addition to Prydz’s immersive DJ set, resident acts Rivo, J Ribbon and Bender brought the heat throughout the night, and will of course continue to do so in the residency’s entirety, with Coco & Breezy set to also join the lineup in August.
