Four Tet releases long-awaited track ‘Into Dust (Still Falling)’ with rare Mazzy Star sample: Listen
After years of anticipation, Four Tet has officially released ‘Into Dust (Still Falling)’, a track that fans have long chased across fleeting DJ sets and grainy live clips. Built around a haunting sample of Mazzy Star’s ‘Into Dust’, the single blends nostalgia and restraint, capturing the understated tension that has defined much of his recent output.
Released today via XL Recordings, the track arrives both digitally and as a limited-edition 12” vinyl, available exclusively through XL’s webstore. To accompany the release, Four Tet also unveiled a custom screen-printed t-shirt—another nod to his continued blend of music and collectible design. Notably, the track’s use of Mazzy Star’s vocals had previously kept it off platforms due to clearance issues, making this official drop especially significant.
Meanwhile, fans are building anticipation for Four Tet’s return to London’s Alexandra Palace, where he will headline two shows at the Great Hall on 21 and 22 November 2025. He plans to transform the vast venue into an intimate, immersive space, using the opportunity to showcase both fresh material and cherished deep cuts.
With ‘Into Dust (Still Falling)’ finally out in the world and another landmark live moment on the horizon, Four Tet once again proves his ability to operate on his own terms—quietly impactful, always deliberate. Fans can find tickets and full tour information on www.fourtet.net.
