Ex-Colombian president Iván Duque appears to start DJ career
The world of DJing can attract some interesting characters, such as Iván Duque. It appears that the former president of Colombia hopes to start a career for himself.
Having ruled Colombia from 2018 through 2022, Iván Duque is accustomed to the attention and crowds that come with the world of entertainment. He rose to power as the leader of the country’s conservative-leaning Democratic Centre Party and faced much criticism throughout his tenure for potential human rights abuses, especially regarding protestors. Having left office over two years ago, he seems to be pivoting much of his attention to a budding DJ career.

Earlier this year, Duque took to the decks during a Cartenega celebrating “young businessmen.” In between his continued work in the political and social spheres, he is also sharing content to pursue his musical ambitions. The earlier performance was posted to his Instagram, while more recently, clips of him performing have been making the rounds on Twitter/X and TikTok. In the clips, he can be seen wearing a shirt that reads DJ DUQ. While his tenure as president was certainly controversial at times, it will be interesting to watch how his attempts to make a name for himself as a DJ play out in the coming months.
