While music certainly evolves, the human love for it stays with many throughout their entire life. Now, a Belgian organization named Pappy Boom is helping elder raves get back in the club.

Some believe that age is but a number and look to hold on to the activities they know and love throughout their entire lives. Music is certainly one of those activities and joys that are important for so many, although they may change how they experience it. With age, many will be less likely to go to concerts or all-night raves, experiences that were potential norms in their younger years. Looking to help deliver a bit of clubbing excitement, Youssef Kaddar built Pappy Boom, a Belgian Nonprofit that delivers raves for an older generation.

The term itself, Pappy Boom, is derived from a French term used to describe the aging post-WWII baby boom. Part of the concept for the organization is to look towards helping an ageing population stay active and engaging with younger generations, something that the World Health Organization recommends. The club scene in Brussels is renowned for its nightlife and entertainment, and Pappy Boom is working hard to keep elder residents engaged and feeling young.
