Swedish House Mafia sparks NYC return speculation
From a personal hometown gig in Stockholm to a fun billboard tease in NYC, Swedish House Mafia is certainly keeping fans on their toes about their next moves.
Swedish House Mafia recently treated fans to a special, intimate show right in their hometown, playing at Förbindelsehallen in Stockholm, Sweden, even teasing a return to NYC. The trio – Axwell, Steve Angello, and Sebastian Ingrosso – played a relaxed three-hour set, offering a closer look for those who managed to be there. It was a nice moment for them to connect with fans back where it all started.
During this unique performance, Swedish House Mafia also gave everyone a listen to a new track, ‘Wait So Long.’ It was a good chance to hear some fresh music from the group, and it certainly got people talking about what else they might have coming up. The atmosphere at Förbindelsehallen was quite lively, with attendees enjoying the extended set in a more personal setting than their usual large-scale events.
Interestingly, a part of that Stockholm show was simultaneously broadcast on a billboard in New York City. If you happened to be near 50th and Broadway, you might have seen a live stream of the performance.
Alongside the live video from Stockholm, the billboard also displayed a simple, clear message: “New York See You Soon.” This little note immediately got a lot of people talking and excited, especially among their fans in the Big Apple. It seems like a pretty clear hint that Swedish House Mafia has plans to visit NYC again sometime soon. While we don’t have any exact dates or places just yet, this clever bit of messaging certainly has fans looking forward to their potential return to the city. It’s a fun way to keep everyone guessing and excited about what’s next and we can’t wait!
