Latest Update: Tomorrowland spokesperson Debby Wilmsen confirms “the festival will go ahead, albeit without the main stage.” However, the final approval from the local authorities is yet to come.

Mayor Jeroen Baert has addressed the situation, stating that a full consultation is underway. “We’ll decide in consultation with the organizers and the safety unit,” he said. “This includes the fire department, the police, and the disaster coordinator.” For now, the future of Tomorrowland rests with the local authorities and their safety assessment.

In the wake of the major incident, the Tomorrowland mainstage was completely destroyed by a fire, allegedly caused by malfunctioning fireworks or pyrotechnics, though the exact cause has not yet been confirmed by the Tomorrowland team.
