After making history at the 2025 Tomorrowland weekend 1, Charlotte de Witte is back with another big one. The Belgian-born techno DJ and producer made a huge splash last week as she was the first person to open and close a festival day at Tomorrowland. It’s worth checking out that performance, as both sets were banging, but she’s looking to top that now. Now she’s about to deliver another release on Thursday, 7 August, 2 weeks from now. She’s remixed one of dance music’s hit tracks, “Drop It” by legendary Belgian dance music group Scoop. At the time, Scoop was just a solo project by Daniel Maze, but later Jan Vervloet joined in, and soon the aforementioned track “Drop It” was at the number 1 spot on the club charts.

De Witte will be bringing her new edition on the Époque imprint, which, by the way, is dedicated to similar projects: highlighting great pieces from the golden age of club life, with a little reimagining. According to her, “Drop It is one of those tracks that never really left the dance floor,” Charlotte began, before concluding, “Reworking it felt like a tribute to a timeless moment in rave history.”. The original artwork by Scoop, a massive Europop-electro track with vibrant synth sounds, shows what the demand for club music was like at the turn of the millennium. De Witte’s rework, however, will return with a more powerful, bigger bass realisation, and unsurprisingly, following her stylistic traits, techno will unify the remix. The remix for Drop It is now available for pre-order on most DSPs.
