With a record-breaking number of entries for their Perform at Tomorrowland DJ competition, the Tomorrowland Academy selected David Herrlich as the standout act - awarding him the incredible opportunity to perform on the House of Fortunestage at the legendary festival. The competition is part of the Academy’s broader mission to support new talent through their online platform, which also offers DJ and producer courses to aspiring artists around the world. A frequent guest act at the iconic Bootshaus in Cologne, David Herrlich has been paving his own way within our community, steadily making waves with his vibrant productions and unmistakable summer-flavoured sound.
Achieving a major milestone in his career, German DJ and record producer David Herrlich took over the House of Fortune stage, following his win in the Perform at Tomorrowland Academy DJ competition.
With every production, David channels a sun-soaked energy – blending Piano, Afro, and Latin House into a sound that makes people move. His winning set was no exception: each track brought that feel-good aura to life, whilst his energetic presence allowed for a competition entry that was hard to go amiss. Standing out in a field of internationally talented contenders was no small feat, making this achievement all the more remarkable in his rising career.
A competition that provides up and coming artists with an opportunity of a lifetime, David Herrlich had the privilege of performing at the main event itself, as he took over the House of Fortunestage at Tomorrowland, on Saturday, July 19th, 2025. Bringing the absolute vibe with his live performance, attendees got a glimpse of the bright future that lies ahead for David Herrlich, with the artist also teasing upcoming releases that radiated with groove and energy. A performance that not only marked a personal milestone, but also paved the way for an exciting next chapter in his journey – and we, of course, are all here for that.
