Decision on Tomorrowland will not be made before tonight confirms Mayor of Rumst

Tomorrowland’s recent mishap has caused a wave of concern among festival-goers. While a spokesperson for Tomorrowland has confirmed that the festival is expected to go ahead without the mainstage, Jurgen Callaerts, the Mayor of Rumst (north of Boom), has stated that a final decision will not be made until tonight.

DreamVille, Tomorrowland’s campsite, is already open, and more than 38,000 people are expected to arrive over the week. However, for the festival itself to proceed, it still requires approvals from emergency services, local politicians, and other relevant authorities. The Tomorrowland team is working diligently to find a solution following the incident, but as of now, no official confirmation from the local authorities has been given. Mayor Callaerts emphasized in a statement, “Cancelling the festival entirely is the last thing we want to do.”

While a full cancellation remains unlikely, the possibility has not been entirely ruled out. An official update is expected by 6:00 PM Belgium time. Tomorrowland was set to welcome over 200,000 visitors this weekend, and the current uncertainty has left many attendees understandably anxious.
