This summer, James Hype and MEDUZA have launched their highly anticipated Our House residency at Hï Ibiza, bringing together live performances and contemporary visual art in a first-of-its-kind collaboration with leading Irish street artist Fin DAC.

Running every Monday night throughout the 2025 season, the Hï Ibiza residency marks a new chapter in Ibiza nightlife, combining a hybrid-live concept from MEDUZA known as MEDUZA3, and with James Hype debuting his highly anticipated new visual performance concept, SYNC. At the core of this initiative is a collaboration with globally renowned artist Fin DAC, who has created a series of original collections and a bespoke body of work in honour of the residency. The project includes a large-scale mural, original artworks, and a series of limited-edition prints designed exclusively for Our House. The partnership reflects a broader cultural intersection between electronic music and contemporary art.

Fin DAC’s artwork is already making a visible mark on the island. His new mural, titled “Ultra,” now spans 30 feet on the exterior of Hï Ibiza, positioned to greet thousands of clubbers as they arrive at the venue. The image features one of Fin DAC’s signature masked female figures, a recurring motif in his portfolio of over 150 murals worldwide. Over the course of the season, additional characters—Delta, Ultra, Exciter, and Violater—will serve as the visual identity for Our House, appearing on official artwork and promotional materials. The Our House residency is curated by Club Class Music Management, with the visual elements overseen by West Contemporary, known for bridging contemporary art with global cultural projects. Together, the partnership represents a union of top-tier creative talent across music, art, and nightlife.

Inside the club, James Hype and MEDUZA are delivering a reimagined live show experience. The collaboration also extends to collectible art. For the first time in his career, Fin DAC has created bespoke portraits of James Hype and MEDUZA wearing his signature painted masks. These images will feature on the official Our House show posters and will be released as limited-edition prints through West Contemporary Editions. Only 50 prints of each artwork will be available, each individually signed, numbered, and hand-detailed by the artist—a rare opportunity for collectors and fans to own a piece of the collaboration.

Sharing his thoughts behind this exciting partnership, We Rave You had the opportunity to interview the leading Irish street artist, Fin DAC.

Before becoming a globally celebrated artist, you were a DJ. Can you tell us about your journey into DJing and what drew you to the electronic music scene?

“I was listening to bands like Depeche Mode, OMD, Human League, Kraftwerk, etc throughout the 80s… all the music that became the inspiration for the house and electronic music explosion in the late 80s’ and early 90s. For me, if you lived in London in the late 80’s, you had to be a part of that scene because it was where all the energy was. From the early raves, through to the emergent club culture that mirrored what we experienced in Ibiza… those days still hold most of my core memories and many are linked to specific clubs and more importantly, specific tracks.”

How did the opportunity to collaborate with James Hype, MEDUZA, and Hï Ibiza for the ‘Our House’ residency come about? Was it a natural fit for your artistic vision?

“Because of my past as a DJ and being a frequent visitor to Ibiza and its clubs since the late 80’s, it very much felt like a ‘return to the source’ for me. When we spoke to Our House about the potential collaboration, and realised that the owner and I had many shared friends and clubbing experiences, we couldn’t believe we’d never met before. I think we instinctively knew this was going to work.”

You’ve worked on over 150 murals worldwide, each with a story. How does the ‘Our House’ project stand out in your portfolio?

“I’d say it’s almost completely unique. I rarely do these types of collaborations because my vision and the client’s vision has to align for it to mean something to me. To be able to combine the three great loves of my life – music, clubbing and art – has been awesome. I think it’s rare in life that anyone gets to take what they used to do, update it to what they currently do and put it out into the world for all to enjoy.”

The summer residency runs for four months, but your murals and artwork will leave a lasting legacy. What do you hope fans take away from seeing your work in this context?

“We certainly hope they’ll leave a lasting legacy. For me the visuals are just a small detail in the stories that both James and MEDUZA are telling. The overall story has to have impact for the visuals to make sense as well. I have no doubt whatsoever that the impact in the club and on the island will be huge but I’m looking forward to seeing and hearing it myself at some point during the four month run.”

Your work often carries a narrative or story. How do the characters ‘Delta,’ ‘Ultra,’‘Exciter,’ and ‘Violater’ connect to the residency’s themes of innovation and performance?

“All of the artwork titles come directly from Depeche Mode albums. DM were one of the most innovative bands of the 80’s and 90’s blending all types of styles and genres and influencing musicians from all walks of life. The fact that they were, and still are, one of the best live bands in the world is just the cherry on top. I think both those things blend well with what Our House are presenting this year.”

Were there any DJs, producers, or tracks from your time in music that continue to inspire your creative work today?

“It would be timeless classic tracks like Voodoo Ray, Let the Beat Hit Em, Yeke Yoke etc that I always return to. DJs like Paul Oakenfold and Fatboy Slim who really pushed things to new levels without diluting their ethos. But honestly my musical tastes have always been wide and vast and that continues to this day… dance music is just a part of it.”

This collaboration is a first for you in terms of creating show posters with your masked aesthetic. Do you see yourself continuing to work with electronic music artists in the future?

“Never say never. I’m always open to whatever the universe puts in front of me. It’s just important to be selective and pinpoint the ones that mean something more than just a payday.”
