John Summit teases collaboration with Martin Garrix during Tomorrowland 2025 interview
In an interview during Tomorrowland 2025 this weekend, John Summit teased that he and Martin Garrix are working on a new release.
It’s been quite the week for John Summit at Tomorrowland 2025. First, he delivered one of the best sets of the weekend at the Freedom Stage, and now during an interview at the festival, he teased that he and Martin Garrix are working on a collaboration. It’s been no secret that the two enjoy each other’s company and have had a growing friendship over the years. Summit was even spotted in the crowd during Garrix’s closing set at the mainstage of Tomorrowland on Friday.
During this weekend in Belgium, Summit did an interview on Tomorrowland’s famed One World Radio with AdamK, who asked if a collaboration between him and Garrix was something we could expect. Summit responded by asking the audience that was watching in the studio if a song together with Garrix would be something they would want. To which a loud cheer rang out across the studio in excitement. Following the response, Summit said, “Ok, I think the answer should be yes then.“
The collaboration question arose after Summit and Garrix posted videos and pictures of themselves hiking in Ibiza, where each has a current residency. Summit has mentioned that he is currently working on a follow-up project to his widely successful 2024 album, ‘Comfort In Chaos.‘ While most information about the album is still unknown, John Summit posted on Instagram that one of the places he has been writing the new album is in Amsterdam, where Garrix lives.
Martin Garrix is no stranger to collaborations throughout his career. Working with the likes of David Guetta, Afrojack, Dimitri Vegas and Like Mike, Khalid, Arijit Singh, Bebe Rexha, Dua Lipa, Bono and The Edge, and most recently the highly anticipated track with Alesso, ‘Inside Our Hearts,‘ that has been two years in the making and will release on July 25th.
A track with Summit feels like the perfect combination and would be a huge moment for the industry. While the response was subtle it feels like a guarantee. However, there is no concrete information just yet. Both John Summit and Martin Garrix will be playing on the Tomorrowland 2025 mainstage for weekend two.
