A shining star of the European festival circuit, Kappa FuturFestival stands in a league of its own.
Championing all kinds of underground sounds from hard techno to house, tech-house and everything in between, it’s not only the diverse lineup full of the biggest names and rising stars, but the overall festival experience itself. This year, we were there to witness all of the action unfold at Kappa FuturFestival 2025, and was left nothing short of mindblown.
The first aspect that many pay attention to, and part of what makes it go viral online, is its completely unique venue, situated within Parco Dora in Turin, Italy. Its industrial, graffitied setting that looks like an open-air art installation only adds to the immersive techno & house atmosphere, creating an otherworldly vibe. To beat the hot Turin sun, the mainstage conveniently has a massive roof down the strip of the area, making it look familiar to the legendary Printworks club. Of course, with a legendary design could only come a legendary lineup. Some of our personal standouts from the mainstage this year included closing sets from Anyma and Meduza (present with their newest 3 live show – featuring all the members) representing the Italian region, with Dom Dolla, Peggy Gou, Diplo and PAWSA all killing it early in the day, too.
For its 12th edition this year and for the first time, the grounds boasted six different stages all offering different realms of underground electronic music. Aside from the mindblowing mainstage, the Solar stage (which, as it name suggests – catches the sun rays all day long) had a focus on pure techno with the likes of Azyr, Patrick Mason, Reinier Zonneveld Live and many more. The Voyager stage with its industrial beams and large visual screen hosted Nina Kraviz, Skream b2b Prospa, ARTBAT, Anyma b2b Solomun and Charlotte de Witte to name a few whilst the Nova stage comfortably nestled between the previous two included sets from Kevin de Vries, Enrico Sangiuliano (who both ended up doing a surprise b2b set for lucky Sunday ticket holders), Chris Leibing and more.
To add to the action even more, the Kosmo stage with its eye-catching ‘Dance First Think Later’ sign designed by artist Marinella Senatore saw Ogazòn, Seth Troxler and Kerri Chandler perform amongst a mix of other established and up-and-coming talents.
The new addition this year, Lab Stage, saw a 360 degree stage setup add a dynamic air to the already impressive visual experience with sets from the likes of FJAAK, Jane Fitz and the aforementioned surprise Enrico Sangiuliano and Kevin de Vries b2b set which packed crowds out from as early as 3:30PM.
If you’re looking to also elevate your experience at the festival even further – the VIP ticket is a highly sought after experience for good reason. With your own separate festival entrance to general access and dedicated shuttles to take you from/to the city centre, you are then greeted with a luxurious VIP lounge that also serves as a cool hangout spot away from the crowds. With your own DJ, bars, luxury toilets, hair and makeup station, and even VIP exclusive food options (including sushi, bao buns and even a dedicated Futur restaurant), it just gets better the more you move into the grounds. Each stage has its own VIP deck, offering unparalleled views away from the crowds – but enough so that you feel comfortable and still very much part of the action.
An even more elevated VIP experience on offer is the Gold package. This allows you access to everything from the VIP section but with an additional viewing platform right on the side of the Futur Stage to see your favourite artist up close and personal, as well as complimentary access to all of the afterparties. After experiencing all of these aspects, we can only express just how worth it it all is. Although compact, the festival has mastered the art of ensuring that no sound bleeding comes through, which also makes for a positive experience when trying to run from stage to stage to catch everything that the insane lineup has to offer, making stage hopping as easy as ever. Logistically, Kappa FuturFestival is a dream – both when inside the festival grounds and also in terms of location and ease of getting to & from the grounds.
With such an incredible lineup and stage options only came the best crowd, which was one of the most high-energy crowds we’ve seen from any festival across the globe. With so few phones in the air (even during Anyma’s set), fans of their favourite artists performing came to vibe with the utmost of carefree attitudes, so much so that we could only sit back and admire it. Proving that the crowd were there purely for the love of the music and the scene, this is another aspect of what makes Kappa FuturFestival so dynamic, and truly sets itself in another league.
This year, Kappa FuturFestival hosted a record number of people across its three days, with 120,000 attendees coming from 150 nations, solidifying the unifying atmosphere that the festival creates and nurtures. For world-class lineups, a comfortable and enjoyable experience and to be part of something like no other, this festival is the one to be at. Evolving further and further since its first edition in 2009 and even more so since sports brand Kappa got involved in 2012, we can’t wait to see how it keeps getting better and better with each edition.
