Mozart AI Raises €616K to Develop World’s First AI-Powered DAW
Mozart AI, a London based startup, has raised €616,000 in pre-seed funding to develop an AI powered digital audio workstation (DAW). Investors include EWOR, New Renaissance Ventures, Atlantis Ventures, and individual backers such as Stefan Glaenzer, co-founder of Last.fm, and entrepreneur Felix Jahn.
As part of its plans, Mozart AI is developing a DAW that responds to voice or text prompts. The goal is to streamline the music creation process by allowing users to communicate with the software freely. Users can ask the system to lay down instruments, suggest harmonies, or modify arrangements, all while maintaining control over the vision. The team behind the project includes alumni from King’s College London and entrepreneur Sundar Arvind, who previously co-founded a logistics AI startup.
According to the company, Mozart AI does not generate entire songs on its own or draw from copyrighted material. Instead, it aims to assist users by offering creative input during the production process, functioning more as a support tool than a replacement for musicians.
Mozart AI plans to launch its DAW publicly on July 16, following a private beta. The project enters a growing field of AI-assisted music platforms. Recent examples include Suno’s acquisition of WavTool and new AI integrations into mainstream tools like Logic Pro. Whether Mozart AI can carve out a space in that competitive landscape remains to be seen, but the funding suggests investor interest in AI-assisted workflows for modern producers.
