Tomorrowland honors Avicii with intimate ‘Avicii Forever – The Tribute’

As Tomorrowland 2025 reaches the end of its first weekend, the festival pays a powerful and emotional tribute to one of its most iconic figures: Tim Bergling, known globally as Avicii. While the tribute was first announced ahead of the festival, the real impact only came into focus once fans stepped into Avicii Forever – The Tribute—a new on-site installation located between the Melodia and Freedom stages.

Unlike previous homages, this year’s tribute offers a quiet, reservation-only space where visitors can reflect on Avicii’s influence through exclusive visuals and archival footage. The experience recalls his unforgettable Mainstage performances from 2012, 2014, and 2015—and even his surprise debut in 2011 with Levels. Inside, fans walk through a story told in light and sound, shaped around his music and message.

Moreover, the emotional weight of the tribute deepens through the voices of festivalgoers. Kristof, a longtime attendee, shared: “For a lot of people, he was Mr. Tomorrowland MainStage.” Meanwhile, Hariette recalled falling in love with Avicii’s music after hearing Hey Brother: “It reminds me how music brings people together—and he definitely did.” Another visitor, Mirka, recounted hearing of his death while camping at Coachella: “We were devastated. I wish I had a way to thank him for everything.”
