As of last night, Tomorrowland launched an urgent overnight effort to construct a new mainstage after Wednesday’s devastating fire destroyed the original setup. Trucks with cranes arrived at the Boom festival site, and workers immediately began assembling a replacement structure designed to be 70 meters wide and 8 meters tall.

Meanwhile, organizers confirmed that construction would continue non-stop throughout the night. Although this new stage won’t match the size of the original, it’s still expected to deliver an impressive visual experience. Despite the challenges, the team remained focused on ensuring the festival kicks off on Friday with minimal disruption.

At a press conference, Tomorrowland spokesperson Debby Wilmsen outlined two possible scenarios. If the new mainstage is completed in time, the entire festival will open as planned for all visitors. However, if the structure isn’t ready by Friday, only the secondary stages will open to general attendees, while the 38,000 DreamVille campers will enjoy a separate celebration on the campsite with performances from the originally scheduled mainstage DJs.

Throughout the night, the energy at DreamVille stayed upbeat. Many campers embraced the situation, with some even declaring the campsite would become the “new mainstage.” Still, the uncertainty left others concerned about the overall experience.

Although the rebuild remains a race against the clock, Tomorrowland emphasized that safety remains the top priority. The organization confirmed that the festival will proceed no matter what and expects full normal operations to resume by Saturday.
