Police record 382 drug offences at Tomorrowland, 23 dealers to face court in October

Additionally, officers apprehended 23 people for drug dealing. These individuals – hailing from Belgium, the Netherlands, the UK, Spain, North Macedonia, Turkey, Serbia, Italy, Poland, Brazil, and Germany – will face the Antwerp Criminal Court during a special hearing on 22 October. All drugs were confiscated, offenders lost their festival wristbands, and they were removed from the grounds. The amicable settlements collected amounted to €94,800.

Beyond drug-related offences at Tomorrowland, police issued 481 reports for public drunkenness and antisocial behaviour. Meanwhile, the National Institute for Criminalistics and Criminology (NICC) conducted on-site testing of 661 seized drug samples. MDMA, ketamine, and cocaine topped the list, consistent with last year’s findings.

Authorities flagged 25 cases involving potentially dangerous substances, forwarding them to health institute Sciensano and medical services for immediate action. These included combination powders and ecstasy tablets containing psychoactive compounds other than MDMA, prompting swift public health measures.
