Barkin and SLAYJAY release genre-blurring house anthem ‘Embrace’: Listen

Two rising forces in the dance music scene, Barkin and SLAYJAY, have joined creative forces for their latest release, ‘Embrace.’ A hard-hitting cut that pushes the boundaries of modern house music. Out now via Steve Aoki’s Dim Mak imprint, the track is a blend of styles that sits somewhere between tech house, bass house, and the darker edges of techno.

It opens with a tense, atmospheric break and a sultry female vocal before building into a gritty, rolling synth drop. The bassline drives the track forward, while the drums lock in a relentless rhythm that keeps the energy moving. Each drop introduces subtle changes that add depth without slowing the momentum, and the final section lands with a punch that leaves a lasting impact.

For Barkin, ‘Embrace’ follows a strong start to 2025, including his single ‘Percolator’ on Don Diablo’s Hexagon. SLAYJAY has also been busy this year, with tracks like ‘Good On You’ and ‘Like This’ showcasing his signature Detroit-style tech house sound design.

Together, they’ve crafted a track that’s made for the dancefloor but also works for late-night listening. ‘Embrace’ is energetic and highly addictive to the ears.
