Almost every artist fortunate enough to tour for a living will say that they hate to cancel shows. They respect the time and expense that their fans invest in their careers and appreciate the opportunity to take the stage and perform for a crowd. Of course, the energy and effort required of touring DJs is unique as they jetset from continent to continent, often changing time zones several times in a week. This travel is part of the journey but can be exhausting and Spanish DJ Danny Avila recently succumbed to the rigorous toll it can take on the human body. With a scheduled stop at Daer Nightclub in Hollywood, FL, next up on his agenda, the producer revealed that he had to take the extreme step of canceling the event because his body was shutting down.

While the lifestyle seems glamorous to many, being a professional DJ requires an extreme amount of travel. During a recent run of shows, Danny Avila faced health concerns that forced him to cancel an event.

In the post shared on Instagram Stories, Avila details how he had been traveling between continents as of late, and following his latest plane ride and excursion, his body began to shake uncontrollably. He notes that it is the first show in his career that he has ever had to cancel to care for his body, but that he physically wouldn’t have been able to perform under the circumstances. Ever since the tragic passing of Avicii, discussion regarding exhaustion, as well as the physical and mental toll of being a musician, has become more commonplace for artists. As frustrating as cancelling an event is, we hope that Danny Avila is on the mend and able to rest up ahead of his next run of shows.
