deadmau5 imposter kicked off stage during deadmau5 set
When wearing the oversized head, complete with large eyes and ears, the image of deadmau5 is one of the most iconic in the entertainment industry. During a recent festival, one fan took the imitation a bit too far.
Throughout his incredible career, deadmau5 has gained attention for his driving productions, iconic mousehead, and his often unrestrained commentary regarding the industry and fellow artists. While controversy has been a big part of his career, it has done little to suppress the affection and joy that fans worldwide find in his work. Recently, he took the stage in his home country of Canada for The Veld Music Festival. Deemed the largest electronic festival in Canada, the Toronto event is a massive stop for artists and fans alike, and this year saw deadmau5, John Summit, Rezz, Alesso, and more perform during the three-day event. Donning his iconic mouse helmet, the Canadian DJ producer was interrupted by an unexpected interruption.
Donning a nearly identical outfit to Joel Zimmerman, a black mouse head, and a black jacket and pants, the imposter ran onto the stage and appeared instantly confused as security made their way towards him. While the real artist stayed behind the DJ booth, fans witnessed the imposter squirm around before security grabbed his clothes, pulling down his pants. The imposter worked to cover up his private region as security dragged him down and removed him from the stage. Never a dull moment when deadmau5 is around!
