HARD Summer sees fans rush fence and climb into event
In America, the electronic music festival circuit features a wide variety of events spread out across the vast landscape. One such annual event, HARD Summer, is facing some security issues as the 2025 edition of the event takes place.
In recent years, festival promoters and attendees have seen a wide array of logistical and natural issues that have disrupted the concert-going experience. This year, Bonnaroo was forced to suspend its event due to extreme weather, and the recent Tomorrowland Festival faced a horrific fire, destroying the mainstage days ahead of the event. Now, the gates are open in Los Angeles for HARD Summer, and videos are surfacing of seemingly helpless security guards as fans break through and climb over the perimeter fences.
This is certainly a frustrating look for both industry insiders and will elicit memories of Travis Scott’s tragic ASTROWORLD event in Texas back in 2021. During that event, poor security led to a large number of attendees climbing over fences and breaking into the event grounds, eventually leading to a fatal crowd crush during the day. Fortunately, no such dangers seemed to have been reported yet at the Los Angeles event, but with excited fans breaking through the outer fencing, it is a concerning situation for all involved. Hopefully, the team at HARD Summer can secure the perimeter and ensure a safe and secure event for all those in the area.
