Miss Monique addresses unusual Creamfields crowd shift during her set: Watch

Miss Monique, the Ukrainian melodic techno sensation, has been headlining some of the world’s biggest festivals while also holding down her own residency at Hï Ibiza this season. On Sunday, she brought her sound to Creamfields, performing on the Fatboy Slim Loves stage alongside Luuk Van Dijk, L.P. Rhythm, Joella Jackson, and Fatboy Slim himself.

After the show, she shared a candid moment on Instagram. “I’ve never felt anything like this. Watching 95% of the dancefloor leave while you’re choosing your first track looks a bit painful,” she admitted. The comment quickly gained attention across the dance music community.

That day, Creamfields offered a stacked lineup across multiple stages, including David Guetta, Oliver Heldens, D.O.D, Anyma, Hannah Laing, Martin Garrix, Sonny Fodera, Gorgon City, Duke Dumont, and Boris Brejcha. With so many big names performing close together, fans often moved from stage to stage depending on their favorite acts. At major festivals, this is common – especially as many events now use apps that send notifications about set times, encouraging crowd shifts between artists.

In a follow-up story, Miss Monique expanded on the experience. She praised the festival’s production and said the stage looked beautiful and fully packed when she arrived. However, within minutes of starting, she noticed thousands leaving. “I know sometimes people can move from one to another place, which is totally normal, but to have a situation like this, I’ve never had in my life,” she wrote, before thanking the fans who stayed and created “absolutely amazing energy.”
