Rüfüs Du Sol share statement following assualt at recent show

Before Rüfüs Du Sol took the stage Saturday night at the Rose Bowl, Glass Beams entertained the massive audience. Just weeks after violence marred a Hard Summer afterparty in Los Angeles, fans just north in Pasadena were horrified to hear about a woman being attacked at the event. In the horrific video that has been circulating on the internet, a man can be seen aggressively attacking concertgoer Shelby Elston over a spilled drink. The show continued without interruption, but Elston and her party missed the concert as she was treated for her injuries.

Tens of thousands of fans recently gathered at the iconic Rose Bowl in Pasadena, CA, for a massive show from Rüfüs Du Sol. Unfortunately, an incident in the stands earlier in the night marred the positive energy the group hoped to bring to the region.

News of the attack has been covered prominently in the aftermath, and now Rüfüs Du Sol has shared their message regarding the incident. Posted to their Instagram Stories, the group says, “Delivering moments for our fans to gather and celebrate safely is what we live for. We have been heart broken to hear of the act of violence that took place during the opening act on Saturday. This type of behavior is completely unacceptable anywhere and the fact that this happened at one of our shows is devastating to learn about. Local law enforcement are actively investigating the situation. Anyone with information to assist the investigation should please contact the Pasadena Police Department.”
