At some point between the collective euphoria of a festival and the quiet after the last beat fades, something happens that’s hard to put into words. Some people go to these spaces for the music, others to escape, and a few —a very few— discover something that later becomes their path. Out of that same intensity that big electronic music festivals create, an artist emerged who doesn’t just mix tracks, but aims to build shared experiences.

That artist is Voegl, the project of Hunter Vogel, a DJ and producer who found his calling almost by accident after finishing college. What started as a simple experiment behind the decks in 2023 quickly grew into a defined creative path. “I’ve always loved music and festivals. At first, I just wanted to try it for fun, but I developed a deeper passion,” he recalls.

His proposal doesn’t rely on rigid formulas or fixed genres. Instead, Voegl approaches each set and production with intention: to spark emotion and invite people to live music as more than just rhythm. For him, the creative process is, as he says, “a deliberate act of vulnerability,” where patience and honesty matter as much as the beats themselves.

On stage, his goal is clear: to read the audience’s energy and turn it into a shared journey. It’s not just about mixing songs, but about generating moments where the crowd and the artist move as one. That connection, subtle yet powerful, is what defines his approach to performance.

This vision comes to life in “No Way Out”, his latest release. In Voegl’s own words, “it’s about the moment when you realize you’re trapped in a relationship, but you refuse to surrender your own voice.” Beyond its personal undertone, the track stands as a fresh and straightforward electronic proposal, designed to connect both in a personal listening space and on the dance floor. With it, Voegl marks a turning point in his career, presenting a more confident sound and a clear statement of where he intends to go.

Although music is the core of his project, Voegl also draws inspiration from other creative territories like storytelling and fashion, elements that help shape his visual and conceptual identity. That same vision is what leads him to believe that a DJ stops “just playing music” when they become, as he puts it, “the conductor of the room,” someone capable of shaping collective energy and making the audience live a singular experience. Looking ahead, he’s driven by the idea of new collaborations. Among the names he mentions with enthusiasm are CamelPhat, Hayla, TH;EN and ARTBAT – artists who inspire him and with whom he imagines building future projects. In the meantime, his focus is on consolidating his own path, with more music in the works and the conviction that every step helps define his artistic identity.

With just two years in the scene, Voegl already shows a mature vision. More than a catalog of tracks, what he seeks to leave behind is an emotional imprint: moments when someone, whether in the middle of a festival or through their headphones, feels they are in the right place, at the right time.
