AlphaTheta launches CDJ-3000X and DJM-A9 in virtual reality with Tribe XR
AlphaTheta Corporation has now joined forces with Tribe XR to launch its flagship CDJ-3000X and DJM-A9 mixer directly inside virtual reality, coinciding with the global hardware release. Moreover, from today, DJs can step into a virtual booth on Tribe XR via Meta Quest, Steam VR, PC, or Tribe’s web platform to experience precise digital recreations of AlphaTheta’s latest club-standard products.
Importantly, every element of the gear has been recreated in detail. The CDJ-3000X’s Wi-Fi connectivity, USB-C ports, and new 10.1-inch touchscreen sit alongside the DJM-A9’s 32-bit audio engine, Bluetooth input, dual USB sound cards, and refined faders. Tribe XR users can load their own tracks or use streaming platforms like Beatport, TIDAL, and SoundCloud Go+, with full access to tutorials, interactive lessons, and real-time coaching from AI mentor DJ Beatbot.
Through this partnership, AlphaTheta transforms its latest launch into a global event. DJs worldwide can meet inside Tribe XR, test the new setup, and even join multiplayer back-to-back sessions. For beginners, it serves as a training ground; for professionals, it’s a chance to rehearse on the same club-standard rig that will soon appear in venues worldwide. As Yoshinori Kataoka, CEO of AlphaTheta, explains: “Our partnership with Tribe XR builds on AlphaTheta’s ‘One Through Music’ mission, enabling DJs everywhere to discover, connect and perform with our newest flagship products from launch day.”
Meanwhile, Tom Impallomeni, CEO of Tribe XR, adds: “We are excited for DJs to try out AlphaTheta’s incredible new club setup virtually, instantly, and affordably. It’s a game-changer for DJ training and performance.”
