Daft Punk Fortnite expansion is set to release this week

Despite their real-world existence, the members of Daft Punk succeeded in their drive to convince the world they are, in fact, robots. Building upon their electronic legacy, the members will next be enshrined in the gaming world of Fortnite, allowing fans to connect with their music in a whole new environment.

Despite the duo disbanding earlier this decade, their influence and music continue to inspire generations new and old, and their inclusion in Fortnite speaks to that powerful legacy. Those descending into the Daft Punk expansion will be one of the largest for the gaming platform, featuring a futuristic portal to start the experience and 31 tracks from the group’s massive catalog. Set to debut on September 27th at 2 PM EST, the new content will allow users to explore several new rooms, expanding both the Fortnite universe and the legacy of the iconic group.

Included in the new offering will be the Dream Chamber Studios, giving players the opportunity to remix some of the iconic tracks from throughout Daft Punk’s career. Those looking for more action can visit the Robot Rock Arena, where players will get to blast hordes of robots with soundwave lasers. Fans of the duo and LEGOS will enjoy Around the World (LEGO Studio), where fans can recreate the group’s iconic music videos with their favorite building bricks. Finally, The Daft Club is simply that, a dancefloor where the good times never end. In preparation for the new expanse, a special Daft Punk bundle with exclusive helmets and more will be released on September 25th at 8 PM ET in the Fortnite Shop.
