Kate Bush announces ‘Best of The Other Sides’
Kate Bush will release ‘Best of The Other Sides’ on Fish People this autumn, arriving digitally on September 26 and on vinyl/CD on October 31.
The compilation answers long-standing demand from fans who missed the original ‘The Other Sides’, issued in 2018 as part of her extensive remastered box sets. That project featured rare B-sides and bonus tracks that had never appeared on a full-length album. Since then, the set has become unavailable, making this new release an important opportunity for collectors and newer listeners alike. Notably, three of the songs on ‘Best of The Other Sides’ have been newly remastered for this edition, adding extra polish to the material.
At the same time, Kate’s 1980 single ‘Army Dreamers’ is enjoying a remarkable resurgence online. The anti-war ballad is rapidly climbing her streaming catalog, on course to become her second most-played track after ‘Running Up That Hill’. The renewed interest seems especially timely, echoing global conflicts and resonating with younger audiences who continue to discover her music.
Moreover, the song’s revival aligns with the recent acclaim for Kate’s short film ‘Little Shrew’, an anti-war animation that won Best Animation at the New York Animation Festival. The project underscores her ability to weave poignant themes across different art forms, from music to visual storytelling.
With ‘Best of The Other Sides’, Kate Bush not only revisits hidden treasures from her catalog but also reaffirms her cultural relevance more than four decades into her career.
