Roland is working on the release of a new drum machine called the TR-1000 Rhythm Creator. According to a Reddit post, the TR-1000 Rhythm Creator surfaced in Sweetwater’s latest catalog. Roland has been teasing the product on socials, though they haven't officially announced the product yet. If the rumors are to be believed, then this would be the latest addition to the iconic Roland TR drum machine series.
According to the listing, the TR-1000 will combine analog circuitry with digital synthesis, bringing together FM, PCM and virtual analog engines. Roland’s Analog Circuit Behavior (ACB) technology, used to emulate the circuitry of the classic TR-808 and TR-909 machines, is a key part as well.
The TR-1000 is speculated to have a large sound library of over 2,500 presets, paired with both analog and digital effects. Sequencing remains central to the instrument, with updates to the TR-REC system. It also includes new Morphing performance tools and stereo resampling.
While these details come from Sweetwater’s product description, Roland has not released official specifications or pricing. The drum machine is predicted to launch on the first of October.
