Swedish House Mafia take over New York’s Arthur Ashe Stadium: Recap
Whenever the members of the Swedish House Mafia take the stage, it is an event of epic proportions as they continue to serve as ambassadors for dance music. For their latest stop in New York, they made history while unveiling a one-of-a-kind stage design.
The Swedish House Mafia are no strangers to setting trends. With their iconic melodies and powerful production, its members, Axwell, Sebastian Ingrosso, and Steve Angello, have redefined and pushed the boundaries of dance music unlike any other act. For their 2025 return to New York, the group set its sights on Arthur Ashe Stadium, a location famous for hosting one of tennis’ premier events, the US Open. Their performance would mark the first time an electronic act headlined the stadium, and they did it with style. Debuting a massive 360-degree stage setup, the group was positioned in the center of the floor as they ran through their massive catalog of hits.
Opening their show with their 2024 collaboration alongside Alicia Keys, Finally, the trio quickly turned the energy up, transitioning into their timeless classic Antidote. From there, fans were treated to nearly two straight hours of non-stop energy and excitement, both musically and visually. The center stage design allowed for the members of the Swedish House Mafia to remain front and center while commanding the packed stadium. Running through a wide range of fresh edits, remixes, and live staples, the crowd was with the group from the very start, enthralled by the spectacle they were presented with. Closing out the night, the group welcomed 070 Shake to the stage for a performance of Not Yesterday, the yet-to-be-released single from the two artists. Like all things in the Swedish House Mafia universe, it was an epic event and a strong reminder of the power of the iconic group.
